Security Patrol starting 7/19
Posted on Jul 15th, 2021

Hi Neighbors,

At the last community meeting, we discussed hiring a patrol company to monitor certain areas of the community. We continue to receive concerns from residents regarding trespassing, vandalism, and aggressive behavior at the pool, playground, and basketball areas.

As a result of these safety concerns, we are moving forward with signing a month to month contract with Precision Protective and Security Services. Starting July 19th, they will be patrolling the community multiple times a day, 7 days a week, at varying hours and will be reporting any issues to Red Rock and the Board directly. For most instances, the patrol company will handle the situation and issuing warning notices. Depending on the severity of the issue, Precision may engage with the local authorities.

Amenity access may be revoked for certain lengths of time for those residents caught breaking the rules. We have a heavy amount of trespassing after the park closes especially during the summer months and our hope is that between the physical presence of a security patrol car along with the foot patrol efforts in and around the pool and park areas, we will see a sharp decrease of issues.

Please talk to your children and make sure that they are aware of the rules and hours of operations of the pool, playground, and basketball court. In addition, please be sure to review the visitor policy with them as well. We've found that our neighborhood kids are friends with kids in neighboring communities such as Fieldstone and Millcrest Apartments and exceeding the guest policy.

Our Safety Committee will also play an integral role in assisting the Board in measuring the success of this program and assist in determining if we need to make adjustments to the patrol hours, frequency, etc.

Again, our hope is that the security measures we are taking will have a positive impact on the issues occurring. If issues arise outside of the random patrol hours, residents will be able to call Precision directly 24/7 and they will dispatch a vehicle to the neighborhood. However, if its a medical or life threatening emergency residents should always call 911 first.

We look forward to Precision joining our Annual Meeting on August 31st for meet and greet as well as Q&A from the community.
